Well life has a way of throwing you curve balls when you least expect them. I've been busy homeschooling our daughter, it's her Senior year. Working on my Doctorate has been a challenge this school year, but hope to finish by Spring of 2011. Our family has been dealing with my husband's health challenges and making the necessary changes to prepare for the time he can no longer work. It has been a stressful time for all involved.
I know it has been a very long time since my last post, I hope to remedy that situation and post on a more frequent basis. It is important to have a creative outlet, especially during stressful periods in life. Unfortunately, during the times when you need to be at your best; stress creates havoc on your body. Headaches, muscle aches, upset stomach, lowers your immune systems ability to fight of illness, and a whole host of other unwelcome issues. Be sure to create time for yourself, eat healthy, take supplements, get some exercise and enough rest; so that you can be the best caretaker of your family.
Seek outside help, if you can, and put a plan in place for the future. Whether you are facing a chronically ill spouse, child or parent; you need to be prepared spiritually, financially, emotionally and physically to meet the demands of a life that has been permanently touched by chronic illness or disability.
