Give Yourself A Break

Whew! What a crazy few months! Ever have so much to do that you can't remember what day it is, that's what its been like around here. Trying to meet everyone's expectations, but not taking enough time to care for yourself.

I've been busy with driving lessons for our 15yr old daughter, working on my Doctorate courses, helping my husband with his business, volunteering, church, caring for my husband's health needs, nursing a broken wrist...well you get the idea! I needed to give myself a break, and realize I can't do it all!

So hopefully, I can keep the blog updated, care for the needs of others, schedule time for myself, and stay healthy. If something falls through the cracks, I'll just keep going and not beat myself up....it's not about being perfect, it's about being healthy, focusing on my relationships, not over scheduling myself and learning to say "NO" when I can't take on another project.

Along with a new mindset on priorities, comes a renewed commitment to taking care of myself! Getting enough rest, eating clean, taking my supplements, getting enough exercise, taking time to relax and communicating my needs to others.

Don't be too hard on yourself, we all fall in the trap of being "Everything to Everybody," but it not healthy! Slow down and commit to being the best you can be without the guilt of trying to do it all!
